Heating, cooling and process energy - using renewable energy sources

Heartwarming, not earthwarming.

A renewable energy-based heating plant can address several needs at once — supporting the energy transition, reducing carbon emissions, enabling flexible heat production and making it easier to adapt the energy system as requirements change.

Turnkey heating plants

Embra designs and delivers heating plants as complete turnkey projects.

We take care of the engineering, equipment, construction, installation, automation and commissioning, from the initial design through to a working plant. We monitor the plant 24/7 throughout the warranty period.

Each project is designed around the site's energy requirements, existing infrastructure and operating conditions. Depending on the application, the solution can include biomass, heat pumps, biothermal energy, electric boilers, heat recovery and other technologies.

The same system can provide heating, cooling and process energy where required.

Designed for the site.

The design starts with the energy demand and the way the site operates.

We assess the required capacity, energy consumption, existing systems, available space and technical requirements. These factors determine the plant configuration, equipment and technologies used.

The plant can be designed as a standalone facility, integrated into an existing building or delivered as a containerised solution.

Complete project delivery

A heating plant brings together several technical disciplines. Embra coordinates the project as a whole and takes responsibility for the delivery.

Energy sources and hybrid systems

The choice of technology depends on the application. Different technologies can be combined into a hybrid system. Automation can control their operation according to energy demand, operating conditions and, where relevant, energy prices. This allows the plant to use the available energy sources according to their role in the overall system.

Heating, cooling and process energy

Energy production facilities are needed for more than heating buildings.

We design energy production systems for industrial and manufacturing processes, mining operations, tourism, hospitality and restaurants, public facilities, and other applications that require controlled and reliable energy production.

Making power moves.

We bring the heat. And the cool.

  1. From engineering to commissioning

Embra manages the project through design, procurement, construction, installation and commissioning.

  2. Designed with future requirements in mind

Changes in production, energy demand and available technologies can be considered during the initial design.

  3. Heating plants for demanding applications

Embra delivers turnkey heating plants for industrial production and manufacturing, public-sector facilities, local energy networks and for many more. Just ask, and we will deliver.

FAQ

What does a turnkey heating plant project include?

A turnkey project can include technical design, equipment, construction, installation, automation, commissioning and documentation. The exact scope is agreed according to the project.

What types of heating plants does Embra deliver?

We deliver standalone, containerised and building-integrated heating plants. The type, capacity and configuration depend on the requirements of the site.

What energy sources can be used?

Depending on the application, the plant can use biomass, heat pumps, biothermal energy, electric boilers, heat recovery and other technologies. Several technologies can also be combined.

Can the same plant provide heating, cooling and process energy?

Yes. These requirements can be addressed within the same energy system where the technical conditions make this suitable.

Can a new plant be connected to existing systems?

Yes. Existing heating, cooling, process energy, electrical and control systems are considered during the design. The new plant can be integrated with existing infrastructure where appropriate.

What is a hybrid heating plant?

A hybrid heating plant combines two or more energy sources or technologies. Their operation can be controlled according to factors such as energy demand, operating conditions and energy prices.

How is the plant controlled?

Automation controls the plant according to its operating requirements. Remote monitoring provides information about operation and performance and supports the ongoing management of the system.

Does Embra operate the plant after commissioning?

Normally, the customer takes responsibility for the plant after commissioning. Operation and maintenance can also be agreed separately with Embra

Can an existing heating plant be replaced or upgraded?

Yes. Existing plants can be assessed as part of a replacement or upgrade project. The new solution can also make use of existing infrastructure where suitable.

Can the plant be expanded later?

Future capacity and technology requirements can be considered during the initial design. The possibilities for later expansion depend on the plant configuration and site conditions.

How long does a heating plant project take?

The project schedule depends on the size and complexity of the plant, the technology, site conditions and the scope of delivery. The schedule is established during project planning.
